Cir Mhor & Rosa burn

Of a' the braw scenes on lands above sea

the high rocks o' Arran bring joy hame tae me,

Wether it rain, it sna or it shine

they shelter mans soul in wee quiet devine.

F' tis magic ye seek in silence abound

gan seek oot the granites, ice cracked n sae round,

They roughen yir hauns n clean oot yir heid

they awaken yir senses n gey need yi fir feed.

Dinnae be hastie tho, dinnae be smert

git brushed aff in bits then awa inna kert,

pey heid tae the moss n' the lichens o' rock

aware be o' heathirs who aroon yir bits lock.

So gan tan yir wee dram oan the high rocky peaks

oan Bheinn Tarsuinn, Cir Mhor up awa frae the geeks,

Thirs nuthin jist like viewin south tae the Craig

majestic in haze afore the lands o Padhraig,

As aff tae the west see Kintyre n' Loch Fyne

north, meikle Ben Lomond n' the Trossachs sublime,

Tae the south o' yir sight lies the lang Ayrshire bays

and beyond, the lush fields n' the ferms o fine maize,

Cross Firth east tae moors, twurds wur Glesgae

twas damn fyne tae say "Am Scottish" this day!

climbed up this one 3 years ago, it was a wonderful warm sunny day with just enough breeze to keep you cool as you walked along. Lovely moody image Rab, love this. mal
